Medical Services


Because the Homesteads are “home” settings, residents may      receive services from home health agencies. Private care is provided by ASK…for Home Care, a licensed home health agency, but they may also receive services from other agencies. ASK coordinates care from Medicare agencies so residents can utilize that benefit when eligible.

For a daily rate based on level of care, ASK provides the following:

Registered Nurses

  • Develop and update Care Plans

  • Assess changes in care needs

  • Pre-pour medications

  • Communicate with physicians, families and other providers and facilities, including coordinating end of life care.

  • Communicate with pharmacies re: medication changes or refills.

  • Supervise CNA’s and oversee care, 24/7

  • Provide foot care

  • Oversee transfers, discharges and admissions

  • Conduct staff and family meetings

Certified Nurses Aides and Home Care Aides

  • Personal Care – bathing, grooming, dressing

  • Toileting/incontinence care

  • Foot soaks

  • Assist with meals/feeding

  • Assist with transfers/ambulation, including use of walkers, canes, Hoyer lifts and sit-to-stands

  • Housekeeping

  • Laundry

  • Activities

  • 24 hour supervision

  • Medication reminders

  • Monitoring food and fluid intake, bowel movements

  • Assist with therapy/exercise

  • End of life care
